My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark Straw
Nose: Gentle peat smoke, pineapple, ripe banana, hint of smoked ham, liquorice, hints of white pepper.
Palate: Mild peat, banana bread, honey, liquorice, hints of sweet cough syrup, coriander, nutmeg and hints of pepper.
Finish: Very long with spicy fruit and medicinal smoke.
Overall: If you can afford this expensive bottle, you will be rewarded with an outstanding whisky. The balance of fruit and spice notes is fantastic and everything is underlined by a delicate medicinal smokiness.
